It's Easter time!! and markets are flooded with Easter goodies....eggs,cupcakes,cookies,balloons,bunny hats :)
This is my attempt to make Chocolate Easter Eggs. :) My kid loves cadbury Chocolate Eggs and if i give her the whole packet, she will gulp it in no time :P
So I thought lets make a surprise gift for her this Easter...so I made Chocolate Eggs!!
Try this and let me know if they are not over in a blink of eye :)

Chocolate Easter Eggs

Ingredients:
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1 cup white chocolate morsels
  • 1/4 cup milk chocolate morsels
  • sprinkles

For Egg:
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups water

Chocolate Easter Eggs

 Method:
  • Take the two eggs and make a small hole in the egg with fork. Make sure you do not break the egg.
  • Hold your index finger on the hole and shake the egg for 2 mins.
  • Take a syringe(without needle) and blow air in the egg. I used an old syringe which i had got along with my kids medicine prescription.
  • Now empty the egg contents in a bowl. If you want to discard it, then you can as well do that.I retained the egg contents to bake cake :D
  • Now wash the egg shell thoroughly with water.
  • Take a pan and put water, salt and vinegar and boil the egg shells for 5 mins. This step is required to sterilize the egg shell.
  • Now place the egg shells in a microwave safe bowl and cook for 5 mins .
  • Let the shells get cooled off.
  • Meanwhile melt the chocolate morsels in microwave for about 1 - 1& 1/2 min.
  • Take a piping bag and pour the melted chocolate in it and fill up the egg shells with chocolate.
  • Let it cool for about 30 mins.
  • Now break open the shells, just how we do for boiled eggs and voila your chocolate Easter egg is ready!!
  • Decorate it with sprinkles.
  • I also did some bunny ears just for fun!! :)
 Tips:
  • If this a lengthy process for you ,then you can very well go ahead with egg molds available in market.I just wanted to try making chocolate eggs in a new way. That's it.
  • I made white chocolate egg and decorated it with milk chocolate. You can be creative to do different designs. Put on layer of white chocolate then milk chocolate.
  • You can also add edible food colors to chocolates to make different colored chocolate layers in egg.

Happy Easter friends!!
Happy Eating!!  :)
